David was named finalist for The American Prize in the category of Orchestral Programming for the University of Washington Symphony Orchestra's 2015-16 season. The UW Symphony was also a finalist for The American Prize Orchestral Performance, for performances recorded between 2014 and 2016). This is the 3rd straight year Rahbee has been a finalist for the programming prize, recognizing each year of programming since joining the faculty.
David is working together with Dr. David Oertel on the 6th edition of David Daniels' Orchestral Music, one of the most important reference books/databases in orchestral music. The website www.daniels-orchestral.com is updated monthly, and the 6th edition will be in print in 2022.

David Alexander Rahbee is currently Senior Artist in Residence at the University of Washington School of Music in Seattle, where he is director of orchestral activities and teaches conducting. He is recipient of the American-Austrian Foundation's 2003 Herbert von Karajan Fellowship for Young Conductors, the 2005 International Richard-Wagner-Verband Stipend, and the Acanthes Centre in Paris in 2007.
